Benefits of Rebranding: How To Make Your PLR Unique

The benefits of rebranding are no secret when it comes to changing your private label rights content. All it takes is having a system or a checklist to make your rebranding routine consistent over time.

We talked in a previous post about the basic things like changing up your graphics and editing the sales copy as places to start, especially when you’re using the “biz in a box” style packages.

But, that’s just the start of what you should be doing to really get the benefits of rebranding your PLR content. And I’m not talking about just the big packages… this works for little packages like blog post series packs too!

Here are a few other things you can easily change if you want to see the benefits of rebranding your PLR to make it unique:

Change the title to something catchy

The first thing you should be changing is the title of the product. Giving it a new title that reflects you and your brand is an easy way to make the product unique.

There are several ways to do this – and they all start with a little keyword research.

One easy way to do this is check out Amazon and other book-selling platforms to see what types of titles are selling in your niche.

Another way is to take the keywords for your product (some PLR sellers will actually give you these) and plug them into a title generator and see what you come up with.

Add your author image

Another way you can brand PLR as your own is to add your image as the author of your new, unique product. (Of course, this means that you have to substantially change the content too so that you can call it your own. More on that in upcoming posts)

An author image is something most PLR buyers don’t even think of using when packaging their PLR eBooks/reports. Add an image of yourself to the book so that the reader has an idea of who you are. This is not only branding, but also a great way to start building the know, like, and trust factor with your customers. People want to know that there’s a real person behind the content they’re purchasing!

Whatever you do, DO NOT use an image of someone else as your author photo. If you have to use a pen name, use a logo or something that identifies you as the author if you don’t want to use your own picture.

Find your own images for the content

Most PLR sellers are restricted when it comes to the images used in their PLR products. It’s not easy to use stock photos from the big sites because they require you to purchase an extended license, which is too costly and complicated for most PLR sellers.

So, most PLR sellers use images from the creative commons to create the covers that accompany their PLR bundles. The problem here is that creative commons images are often used by several people and your product will end up looking like everyone else’s if you use the images that are supplied.

You have a little more leeway when you’re publishing the product as a personal use product and only selling to the end user. In this case, you can purchase an image from a stock site and either make a cover yourself, or hire a graphic designer to make a fantastic cover for you with that.

Unless you’re brand new, your business should already have a logo. If you don’t, hire a logo designer to create a logo for you. Then use this logo on your blog, images, videos, site’s favicon, etc.

Your logo will brand your entire business, and everything will seem linked and consistent.

Repurpose your product into different formats

You can get the benefits of rebranding your PLR content when you change it into different formats, and sell them to people who prefer to learn in different ways.

For example, an eBook can be recorded and sold as an audio book. Or you could split up the book into 10 videos and sell them as video training.

Some people prefer audio books, some prefer videos and some just like to read. You’ll be catering to all of them if your content is available in several formats.

Just remember to create a new image for each format so that it’s rebranded to match the rest of your product line.

Build a relationship with your audience through your blog

One thing I’ve noticed about a lot of PLR sellers is that they rarely have a blog. They only set up their sales pages and try to sell their products without trying to build a relationship with their customers first.

Setting up a blog helps to build your reputation and authority. When your blog is full of valuable content (use the PLR articles included in your packages to fill up your content), it will make the potential buyer trust you. You’re not some unknown entity selling something out of the blue.

Your blog gives you a platform and presence online that you control. So, use your blog to let your customers get to know, like and trust you.

As you can see, the benefits of rebranding your PLR to make it unique to you isn’t rocket science. All it takes is a little work, a little creativity, and a lot of consistency to apply your business branding across your products and the content you produce.
